YOUTH DEPARTMENT NEWS

 

Easter candy bags will be distributed after service.

 

The next session of the Sewing/Craft Class will be on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 11:30 am.   Bring 1½ yards any fabric that is 60 inches wide for this session.
                            

The Youth Department will have a Salmon Cake Fundraiser Breakfast on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 8:30 am. Menu: Salmon Cakes, Grits , Eggs and Toast $10.

 

The Youth Department Breakfast/"Project Runway Fashion Show" fundraiser will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 9:30 am. Funds raised will help defray the cost of the Youth Department activities. Tickets are $15. See any Youth Department for tickets.
 

 

                                                                                                      TRUSTEE NEWS

 

The 2025 Giving Records are now available. Please fill out the request for Giving Record Form and give it to any Trustee. You can also email Trustee Mary Thomas (mthomas128@aol.com) to have your record emailed back to you.

 

To those who have completed your Tree of Life pledge: Please fill out the Inscription Form and return it to any Trustee on or before Sunday, March 29, 2026.

 

The Church is looking for a Church Clerk and an Asst. Church Clerk.   Please stop by the Trustee Office to inquire about the duties of these two offices.

 

    

                                                                                            MEN and WOMEN’S DAY NEWS

 

Come out and worship with us as we celebrate our 54th Annual Women and Men's day.  Our service will take place Sunday,  April 19, 2026 at 10am.  Our theme: Royalty, 1 Peter 2: 9. Guest Speaker Pastor Tommy Miles, Ebenezer Baptist Church, New Brunswick, NJ. Our color is Purple with Gold accents. The  assessment for both the women and men is $100 per member.

                                                                                                                    USHER BOARD NEWS

 

The Usher Board will be celebrating their 53rd Anniversary on Sunday, May 21, 2026.  The preacher will be our own Rev. Dr. George A. Blackwell, III.

 

The Usher is sponsoring a bus ride to Sights and Sound Theater to see “Joshua” on Saturday, September 19, 2026.  Lunch will be at Golden Corral; Shopping at Farmer’s Market and Tanger Outlet. A Non-Refundable Deposit of $30.00 is due ASAP to secure seat. Final Payment of $145 is due July 17, 2026. Please see any member of the Usher Board for more information or call for Sis. GNBC Nurses Ministry

We have immediate openings for church nurses this position will serve the Pulpit, music ministry and congregation.  The hours; One Sunday a month (your choice), & every 1st Sunday.  On the job training.     We are also recruiting for the Jr. Nurse’s Ministry ages 10 to 21.    For more info, see Sis.
