YOUTH DEPARTMENT NEWS
The Youth Department would like to thank all our youth that participated and GNBC members that attended the Black History Month Program.
The next session of the Sewing/Craft Class will be on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11:30 am. Bring 1½ yards any fabric that is 60 inches wide for this session.
On Saturday, April 4th at 11:00 AM SHARP, the Youth Department will be sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt. High-energy Easter Egg Hunt, Action-packed Scavenger Hunt, Creative Mini Paint Session, Music • Laughs • Good Vibes. Bring your baskets, bring your friends, and bring that BIG ENERGY because we are ready for a morning of FUN, FELLOWSHIP & EXCITEMENT! All youth & families welcome!
The Youth Department Breakfast/"Project Runway Fashion Show" fundraiser will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026. Funds raised will help defray the cost of the Youth Department activities. More info to follow.
TRUSTEE NEWS
The 2025 Giving Records are now available. Please fill out the request for Giving Record Form and give it to any Trustee. You can also email Trustee Mary Thomas (mthomas128@aol.com) to have your record emailed back to you.
To those who have completed your Tree of Life pledge: Please fill out the Inscription Form and return it to any Trustee on or before Sunday, March 29, 2026.
The Church is looking for a Church Clerk and an Asst. Church Clerk. Please stop by the Trustee Office to inquire about the duties of these two offices.
SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY
On Sunday, March 15, 2026, we will be celebrating the Sunday School Anniversary. Our guest preacher will be Pastor Patrick Council.
YOUTH CHOIR NEWS
On Sunday, March 22, 2026, the Youth Choir will be celebrating their choir anniversary during the 10 a.m. service. The guest preacher will be Min. Hilton Rawls, III. Please come and support our youth. Wear your favorite HBCU or fraternity/sorority colors and come ready for an uplifting, energetic Sunday you won’t want to miss. We are honoring legacy, culture, and excellence — and you are invited to be a part of it!
The Youth Choir will also be selling Chicken Fingers & French Fries after service. Please support this fundraiser.

MEN and WOMEN’S DAY NEWS
WOMEN and MEN’S DAY CHOIR
Think you might want to sing? The Women and Men's Day 2026 Choir rehearsals will take place on Wednesdays beginning on March 11, 2026 at 7 p.m. Come out and share your skills!
GOOD FRIDAY FISH FRY
The Women and Men's Day committee will be hosting their Annual Fish Fry on Friday, April 3, 2026. More information to follow.
Come out and worship with us as we celebrate our 54th Annual Women and Men's day. Our service will take place Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 10am. Our theme: Royalty, 1 Peter 2: 9. Our color is Purple with Gold accents. The assessment for both the women and men is $100 per member. More information to follow.
SWEET SISTER NEWS
The Sweet Sister Reception will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026 immediately after service. This is an opportunity to get to meet your new Sweet Sister without her knowing who you are. Light refreshments will be served.
USHER BOARD NEWS
The Usher is sponsoring a bus ride to Sights and Sound Theater to see “Daniel” on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Lunch will be at Golden Corral; Shopping at Farmer’s Market and Tanger Outlet. A Non-Refundable Deposit of $30.00 is due ASAP to secure seat. Final Payment of $145 is due July 17, 2026. Please see any member of the Usher Board for more information or call for Sis. We have immediate openings for church nurses this position will serve the Pulpit, music ministry and congregation. The hours; One Sunday a month (your choice), & every 1st Sunday.
